📁 Upload Documents, Audio Files & Spreadsheets in Community

Community now supports uploading documents, audio files, and spreadsheets in addition to images and videos. Users can share PDFs, Word documents, Excel files, audio recordings, and more directly in Community posts and messages.

Supported File Types

Documents

  • PDF files (.pdf) - Worksheets, guides, portfolios, assignments
  • Word documents (.doc, .docx) - Templates, assignments, written work
  • Text documents (.odt) - Alternative document format

Spreadsheets & Data

  • Excel files (.xls, .xlsx) - Tracking sheets, templates, data reports
  • CSV files (.csv) - Data exports, simple spreadsheets

Audio Files

  • All standard audio formats - Practice recordings, audio, music files, spoken content

File Size Limits

  • Maximum file size: 
    • Videos: Maximum 500MB per file
    • Images: Maximum 10MB per file
    • Other: Maximum 5MB per file
  • Multiple uploads: Up to 8 files total (any combination of file types)

How to Upload New File Types

Step 1: Start Upload Process

  1. Go to Community tab
  2. Create a new post or reply to existing post
  3. Click the file upload button

Step 2: Select Files

  • Single file: Click any supported file type
  • Multiple files: Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) and select up to 8 files
  • File type mixing: Combine images, videos, documents, audio in one upload

Step 3: Upload and Share

  • Selected files will upload together
  • Files appear in post

File upload failed

Check these solutions:

  • Ensure file is under the size limit
    • Videos: Maximum 500MB per file
    • Images: Maximum 10MB per file
    • Other: Maximum 5MB per file
  • Verify file type is supported. Check the list here.
  • Check internet connection stability
  • Try uploading fewer files at once

Audio file won't upload

Verify your audio file format is supported and under 5MB. Most standard audio formats work (MP3, WAV, M4A, etc.)

Files appear in wrong order

Files upload in the order selected. To control order, select files in the sequence you want them to appear

New file types not available

This feature is only available in Community sections & Direct Messages.

Can I download the files?
  • Images, audios, and videos: No, these media files cannot be downloaded.
  • Other files: Yes, regular files can be downloaded:
    • On the web version: Files will download to your device
    • On native apps: Files can be downloaded and accessed normally

  • Compress large files before uploading if over the limit
  • Split large audio files into smaller segments
  • Use PDF compression tools for large document files
  • Export spreadsheets in smaller formats if needed
