Add Thumbnails to Lessons & Sequences

Custom thumbnails give your Lessons and Sequences a more polished and personalized appearance. Here's how to add one with ease!

Add Thumbnails

1. Log in to your Passion.io account and navigate to your courses.

2. Select the lesson or sequence where you want to add a thumbnail.

3. Click the ellipsis icon (⋯):

  • In list view, it appears to the right of the lesson name.
  • In carousel view, it’s located at the top-right corner of the lesson tile.

4. Click Edit, then on the left, click the thumbnail tile labeled Add Cover (optional) to continue.

5. Upload your image:
  • Accepted formats: JPEG or PNG
  • The image must be square. Recommended dimensions:
      • List view: 64 × 64 pixels
      • Carousel view: 233 × 233 pixels

6. Click Save to apply your changes.

If the Save button is inactive, ensure all required fields—Content Name, Summary, and Placement—are completed. If you intend to leave the Summary blank, temporarily enter a character as a placeholder (e.g., a period) to activate the Save button.

After saving, go inside the lesson and remove the placeholder from the Summary field.

Remove and Change Thumbnails

1. If a lesson or sequence already has a thumbnail, you can update or remove it at any time.

2. Select the lesson or sequence you want to edit.

3. Click the ellipsis icon (⋯), then choose one of the following options:

  • Remove Cover to delete the current thumbnail 
  • Change Cover to upload a new one

4. Click Save to apply your changes.
