How to use PassionProduct widgets

How to use Product Widgets

1. Available Course Widgets

You can add widgets to your PassionProducts via your Lessons.

1. Image - Upload any image from your library. Sizes will be specified on every section of the platform.

2. Text - Insert paragraph texts and links.

3. Stopwatch - Insert a stopwatch timer into a lesson (or time directly by creating a sequence).

4. Audio - Upload your audio files and podcasts.

5. Video - Upload your video files or insert a video link from YouTube/Vimeo.

6. Files - Upload different file types according to preference (PDF, Doc, etc.) that your clients can view and download.

7. Typeform - Integrate a TypeForm for forms, surveys, updates, quizzes, and such.

8. Calendly - Integrate with Calendly to schedule directly from the app.

9. Button - enables the users to be routed to a specified URL.

The Button widget works like Typeform and Calendly which you can place in your lessons.

Pressing on the added button widget will open a modal from where you can add the button details.

Once the button widget details from the previous step are added, the button will be displayed on the lesson builder, full width.

The button will be displayed on the lesson, in the end user's app.

• In case of an external URL, a new tab in the browser should be opened, redirecting the user to that URL.
• In the case of an internal URL, the user should be redirected to the corresponding app section.

2. Accepted File Types & Sizes

While we do not limit the number of files you can upload to your app, we do recommend your file sizes stay within the limits below. This will give your customers the best user experience possible.

• Video: MP4 or MOV videos formats with no more than 1GB upload size for the Pro Plan and 5GB upload size for the Ultimate Plan (More information: Video Size Requirement and File Compression) You can use this video editor in editing or resizing your video https://tinywow.com/tools/video

• Image: Sizes will be specified on every section of the platform

• Audio: AAC or MP3 formats only

• File Types (PDF, Doc, etc): All

Here's a quick summary of recommended file/widget resolution on certain sections of the platform:

Product Image

• Mobile List of Courses - 720 x720 px (All course images will appear in square format under the Learn Page:)

• Mobile Course Opened - 831 x 1011 px
• Desktop Course Opened - 1640 x 702 px
• Desktop List of Courses - 720 x720 px

Widgets

• Video Resolution/Size - 1920 x 1080 px
• Image Widget - 1024 x 1024 px
• Instruction Video for Sequence - 400MB max
• Aspect Ratio - 16:9 or 9:16

Did you know there are different types of widgets?

On your sales page, you have the required widgets (header, pricing plan, and multi pricing) that you can use to  display your course offerings while you can add the Optional widgets (feature list, FAQ, Hero image, Carousel List) for a sneak peek of your program

4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I add as many widgets as I would like?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of widgets that you would like to add to your content but we recommend dividing your content into different lessons for a smoother experience with your clients.

The file type I have is not compatible with the platform. What do I do?

You can easily convert your files into the suggested formats. There are a lot of websites and free programs that you can use to convert your files. You can also check out https://convert.io/ to convert different files.

I cannot see the area to upload images, videos, and others.

You first have to create a lesson to be able to add widgets. More information here: How to add a Lesson to my PassionProducts?

Can I set up some of the lessons for free?

Yes! Just click on the ellipsis sign on the right side of the lesson material and click Set as Preview content

Is it possible to load vertical videos on the app?

Yes, it is possible. 

What are my audience's video and audio quality that they would enjoy from my uploaded videos?

This will mainly depend on the quality of the file produced from your end before uploading it to Passion.io; we do not process or compress the audio on the video when it is uploaded. As long as it was produced with high quality, your audience would enjoy the high-quality audio on the video. 

For the whole video, as long as it is within the upload limit of 1GB / 5GB for Ultimate the video quality produced before you upload it to Passion.io will remain the same, it would only get compressed to properly be uploaded.
