1. When do you need to create a free app access link

You would like to give free access to a large number of clients (>20) so you can skip the manual process of activating access one-by-one. You can also automate this process with Zapier.
You have your own web check-out and you would like to attach the free app access link on your thank you page so you don't have to manually give access to your clients via PassionMetrics. You can also connect your external checkout page to passion using Zapier.

You have processed the payment via phone or other channels and would like to give them access to your app after the payment.
You want to deliver value for free before you sell a subscription.

2. How to create a free app access link?

There are two ways in creating a free app access link:

1. Integrate with Stripe and create a new plan (one-time order) and integrate Stripe

Integrate your Stripe account with Passion.io. If you haven't already, please refer to How to activate PassionPayments. Once connected, follow the steps below to generate your free app access link:

Go to Pricing Plan > One time orders - Create New Plan:

Select the product/s you would like to be added on your free app access link and click on Next Step:

Fill out the required fields such as Name of the Plan, set the Price at zero "0", fill in the description, and click on the "Create Plan" button:

You will then be asked to add your plan and products to the sales page and you can SKIP this step by clicking on the X icon as we do not want your other clients to see the free app access link on the Sales Page:

To get the free app access link, go back to your Pricing Plans > One-time orders > click COPY and provide the link to your client

Note: We recommend you do a test purchase on the free app access link to make sure that everything is working, you may need to sign up using an incognito browser.

2. No Stripe account? Don't worry, follow these steps to create a free app access link:

Go to Pricing Plan > One time orders > Create New Plan:

Note: The PassionPayments URL is greyed out if there's no Stripe account integrated.

Select the product/s you would like to be added on your free app access link and click on Next Step:

Fill out the required fields such as Name of the Plan, set the Price at zero "0", fill in the description, and click on the "Create Plan" button:

You will be asked if you want to add this to your Sales Page. SKIP this step by clicking on the X icon on the upper right corner as we do not want the free app access link to be visible on the Sales Page:

It will route you back to your Pricing Plans page. Click on the plan you have just created. Scroll down until you reach the PassionPayments Web Checkout section. Copy the Payment URL and provide it to the client.

The client will then be asked to sign up and create an account:

Once done creating an account, click on Confirm Order

Your client will be redirected to the free content automatically or click on Get Instant Access
