Set Up Your Community
- Go to Engage β Community and click New community.
- Name it, and add a description and cover image.
- Set Access: leave it open to all members, or select specific plans to gate it. Only clients with the associated plan(s) will have access.
- Set Member messaging: toggle whether members can message you, and whether they can message each other.
- Click Create community to save.
Notes:

If messaging is disabled after an initial conversation, the message history stays visible but no new messages can be sent.

If direct messaging between members is enabled:

The Messages tab will display a Create message button.

The Members tab becomes available, allowing users to send direct messages to each other.
- If direct messaging between members is not enabled, only you as the Admin will see the members tab.

Create Channels
- Go to Engage β Community and open the community.
- Click Create a channel.
- Add a name, write a short description, and upload a photo.
- To make it an βAnnouncements Onlyβ channel, toggle Only you can post here to on.
- Click Create a channel to save.
Manage Your Channels
- To edit or delete a channel, select the ellipsis (β’β’β’) menu.
- To reorder, add numbers to the channel names and they will be sorted by number order.
Send Messages
From a community channel you can:
- Send text messages.
- Upload photos, videos, files, or audio recordings. You can upload up to 8 files at once.
- Send and receive Voice Notes (5-minute limit).
- Tag people by typing @ or select the @ icon.

Tag everyone with @channel.
When someone is tagged/mentioned, they will receive a notification if they have turned on notifications for this action.
Community Moderation
New members must agree to Terms & Conditions before joining a Community. Make sure you have these set up in line with what you want for your App.
Content Management
- Reporting: Members can flag inappropriate content. Approve or remove flagged comments.
- Auto-moderation: Content reported 3+ times is automatically hidden (you, the admin, can still see it)
- Blocking: Users can block other users, if they do not want to see messages from them. Blocked membersβ comments are hidden and replaced with βMessage from a member you blocked.β End users can unblock from the "Blocked" tab if needed.
- Visibility control: Blocked content can still be revealed by tapping it.
