App Store submission is available on certain plans. If you don't see this option, check our pricing page.
Before You Begin
You need an Apple Developer account in your own name or your company's. Set it up on Apple's website before anything else. Apple verifies new developers, which can take days. Start this early.
👉 Enroll in the Apple Developer Program
Apple charges $99/year. After payment, confirmation arrives within 24–48 hours.
Kick Off the iOS Setup
- Log in to Passion Studio and go to Publish (under Assistant).
- Select Apple App Store.
- Review any issues flagged before you continue — for example, if default content is still showing in your app.
- Confirm you've completed the Product Setup Checklist.
- Click Create My Mobile App.
- When asked how to connect your Apple Developer account, select Manually Connect.
Manually Connect takes up to 60 minutes and requires technical familiarity. If you'd prefer guided help, choose Do it with me to connect with a Passion expert on a call.
Grant Access to Passion.io
From App Store Connect, invite Passion as an Admin so we can manage your submission.
- Go to App Store Connect → Users and Access.
- Click the + button to add a new user.
- Enter the following:
- First Name: Passion
- Last Name: Passion
- Email: fastlane11@passion.io
- Set the Role to Admin — all roles and access will be selected automatically.
- Click Invite.

You'll need:

- App Description — minimum 50 words; mention your offers but don't include prices
- Promotional Text — a summary of your app description
- App Subtitle — a short description
- App Store Category — choose what fits your app
- App Keywords — helps with search visibility
- Support URL — you can use https://passion.io/
- Marketing URL — your web app URL
- Privacy Policy URL — use the Passion Privacy Policy
- Screenshot Builder — enable this so store screenshots are generated automatically
For more detail on each field, see How to Update App Details.
Prepare for Submission
⚠️ Don't skip this step. Submitting without completing it will cause rejections and delays.
Complete all the steps in Preparing the Apple App for Submission before clicking Submit.
Submit for Apple Review
- Read What Do I Need to Do Before I Submit My App? first.
- In Passion Studio, go to Publish → Apple App Store and click Submit For Review.
- A confirmation screen will appear — once confirmed, you won't be able to make changes until the app is live.
Tracking Review
The status moves through: Building → Submitted → In review → Live.
If you see Action required, the panel tells you what Apple needs. Fix that specific item and resubmit — Apple reviews the full app each time, so bundle fixes rather than submitting repeatedly.
Apple reviews typically take 7 days or more. Once approved, your app may take up to 24–48 hours to appear in the App Store.
If something went wrong with your submission, see How to Resolve Apple App Rejections.
