Upload videos

Prefer full control and offline playback? Upload your videos instead of linking them.

  1. Inside your lesson, click + Add Content.

  2. Select Lesson Widgets, then click Video.

  3. In the video settings, choose Upload Video instead of adding a link.

  4. Upload your MP4 or MOV file.

  5. Once uploaded, the video will appear directly in your lesson and will support offline sync in mobile apps.

πŸ’‘ Uploading videos ensures the best playback experience for learnersβ€”especially if they want to watch offline.

If your videos do not appear correctly in the app, follow these steps:

Recommended YouTube/ Video settings to ensure video accessibility

  • Make sure your YouTube videos are allowed to be embedded on third-party websites.

  • Go to your video β†’ Edit (Details) β†’ scroll to License and check Allow embedding.

  • Ensure the video is Unlisted (not Private) to play properly.

Disabling end screens (screen cards) on YouTube videos

  • Go to your YouTube video settings β†’ Playback.

  • Disable show annotation, channel promotion, and interactive card on video under Annotation and Interactivity.

Playback unavailable

  • When using YouTube or Vimeo links, it's an expected behavior for the playback option not to appear
  • To enable playback inside the app, video must be uploaded as an MP4 or MOV file instead.
