🔜 Drip content by specific date
Learn how to use advanced drip content features, including scheduling by exact calendar date and hidden titles.
Table of Contents
1. Overview
Passion.io offers multiple ways to schedule your content release:
- Days After Access: Release content a specific number of days after a user gains access (e.g., 7 days after joining). Learn more.
- Calendar Date: : Release content on a specific calendar date (e.g., December 25, 2025)
With Specific Date Drip, you can:
- Coordinate content drops with marketing campaigns
- Schedule seasonal or holiday-specific content
- Create anticipation with content that unlocks on specific dates
- Pre-plan your entire content calendar
With both options, you can also pick to:
- Show lesson title: Option to hide the actual lesson title until content is released
Drip feature is available for higher Passion.io plans only.
2. Setting Up Specific Date Drip
- Navigate to your lesson
- Tap "Drip" (or "Edit drip" for existing drip)
- Select the "Show lesson title" option
- Tap the date field to open the calendar
- Select your desired release date (Note: you cannot select dates in the past)
- If desired, toggle "Hide title" ON
- Tap "Save" to apply settings
Content within sections must be scheduled in chronological order.
For example, if Lesson 2 is scheduled for December 10, Lesson 3 cannot be scheduled for December 5.
3. Hiding Titles Until Release
- Follow steps to set up either Calendar Date or Days After Access drip
- Leave the "Show lesson title" option OFF (it's off by deafult)
- Tap "Save" to apply settings
When this option is disabled, subscribers will see "Unlocking soon" instead of your actual lesson title until the content unlocks.
4. The User Experience
Here's how subscribers experience dripped content:
- Locked Content: Displays a countdown timer showing when content will be available
- Show lesson title: If enabled, users will see the full lesson title before the release
Dripped lessons are ONLY visible to logged-in users.

7. FAQs
Can I mix "days after access" and "specific date" drip within the same section?
While possible, we don't recommend it as the system cannot compare these different drip types to ensure proper sequencing.
Can I reorder content that has drip settings applied?
No, content with drip settings cannot be reordered. You'll notice these items appear with a "Cannot reorder drip content" legend. To reorder these items, you'll first need to remove their drip settings, reorder them, and then reapply drip settings as desired.
What happens if I need to edit drip settings after saving?
You can edit any aspect of drip settings by tapping "Edit drip." If you exit without saving changes, you'll be prompted to save or discard them.
How do I upgrade to access all drip content features?
To upgrade to a plan with Advanced Drip features, go to More > Account Settings.
Can I schedule content to release at a specific time of day?
Currently, content scheduled for a specific date releases at midnight in the subscriber's local time zone.
