Set Up Your Community

•  Enable Community:
  • Go to My App > Navigation
  • Switch on Community

• Create a community:
  • Open your Passion App
  • Tap Community
  • Customize your community:
    • Add a name
    • Upload an icon or photo
    • Select which pricing plans include access

• • Choose Advanced Settings:
    • Allow users to message you directly
    • Allow users to message each other
  • Click "Create community"

Creating Channels, like chatrooms

• Create a channel:

  • Go to your Community tab
  • Click "Create Channel"
  • Customize your Channel:
    • Add a name
    • Write a short description
    • Upload an icon or photo
    • Make it an announcement channel - Learn more.

• • Click Create Channel

• Manage your channels:

  • Edit or delete: Select the ellipsis (•••) menu
  • Reorder: Add numbers the channel name to set display order

Community Moderation

Set the Tone

New members must agree to Terms & Conditions before joining.

Content Management

• Reporting: Members can flag inappropriate content. Approve or remove flagged comments.
• Auto-moderation: Content reported 3+ times is automatically hidden (you, the admin, can still see it)
• Blocking: Blocked members’ comments are hidden and replaced with “Message from a member you blocked.” Unblock from the "Blocked" tab if needed. 

• Visibility control: Blocked content can still be revealed by tapping it.

Tagging & Mentions

Bring others into conversations:

1. Type @ or select the @ icon.

2. Choose members from the list.

3. Tag everyone with @channel.

When someone is tagged/mentioned, they will receive a notification if they have turned on the notification for this action.

Notifications for mentions:

• Dot on the Channels tab

• Dot on the Community tab

• Notification badge on the community or channel row

Send and Receive Voice Notes

Create more personal connections with voice notes:

1. Tap and hold the microphone button.

2. Release to prepare the message.

3. Preview before sending.

4. Delete by holding and selecting Remove Message.

Limits: Maximum 5 minutes per message.

Advanced Features

Control how members interact:

• Decide if members can message you directly.

• Decide if members can message each other

Notes:

• If messaging is disabled after an initial conversation, the message history stays visible but no new messages can be sent.

• If direct messaging between members is enabled:

  • The Messages tab will display a Create message button.

  • The Members tab becomes available, allowing users to send direct messages to each other.
