Give your users a reason to come back every day 🔥 Streaks count how many days in a row each user is active in your app. Challenges bring your community together around a shared goal with a start and end date, like a 30-day challenge. > **Note:** Streaks and Challenges are premium features available with certain Passion plans. A day counts when a user does at least one of them. 1. Go to **Progress** in the sidebar. 2. Open the **Streaks** tab. 3. Tick each activity you want to count: - **Lessons finished** - **Check-ins** (on the day itself) - **Lesson questions answered** Changes save automatically and apply to all users straight away. Users see their current streak, longest streak and a monthly calendar on the **You** tab. To turn streaks off, untick all three activities. > **Tip:** Decide what counts before you announce streaks. Changes also apply to past days, so your users' streaks can go up or down. ### Create a Challenge Run a group challenge on one of your check-ins. Users join, every day they check in counts, and everyone works toward a group total together. A **Most days** leaderboard ranks users who choose to show their name. Before you start, create the check-in your challenge will use. Any user with access to that check-in can join. 1. Go to **Progress** in the sidebar and open the **Challenges** tab. 2. Click **New challenge**. 3. Enter a **Name** and pick a **Check-in**. 4. Set the **Starts** and **Ends** dates. 5. Choose what makes a day count: **Check in at least once** or **Reach the daily goal**. 6. Add a **Group goal** (optional). 7. Click **Create challenge**. > **Tip:** To run a challenge for paying users only, set the check-in's **Who can use it** to **Some offers** and tick those offers. ### Promote Your Challenge Right after you create a challenge, announce it in one go. 1. Under **Post in Community**, pick the community and space, then edit the post. It includes a **Join** button. 2. Under **Send a push notification**, edit the title and message. 3. Click **Post and send**, or **Not now** to do it later. To promote it later, click **Promote** next to the challenge. Users find challenges on Home, in your Community post and on the **You** tab. ### Edit or Remove a Challenge Open the menu next to a challenge. - **Before it starts:** change anything. - **While it runs:** the check-in and dates are locked. You can still change the name, what counts and the group goal. - **After it ends:** read only. If a challenge shows a warning, users can't join it. Make sure an offer you sell in the App Store or Google Play includes its check-in. > **Caution:** Removing a challenge can't be undone. Users will no longer see it. ### Streaks and Challenges FAQ **Why did a user's streak reset?** They most likely missed a whole day in their own time zone, or only added a check-in for a past day. Unticking an activity can also lower streaks. **Can users join a challenge after it starts?** Yes, until the last day. Every day they checked in since the start still counts. **Do challenge check-ins count toward streaks?** Yes, when **Check-ins** is ticked on the **Streaks** tab.
