🔗 Share Direct Links to Specific Community Posts
You can now share direct links to specific posts and threads within your community channels. This allows you to point members (and yourself) to exact content rather than asking them to scroll through the general community feed.
How to Copy a Post Link
- Navigate to any post in a community channel
- Click the 3-dot menu (⋯) in the corner of the post
- Select "Copy link"
- The link is now copied to your clipboard and ready to share
Where You Can Share These Links
- Email newsletters - Link to member success stories or important announcements
- Social media - Share transformations or testimonials with direct access
- Course content - Reference community discussions as bonus material
- Member support - Direct people to existing answers instead of retyping
- Text messages - Quick sharing with specific members
- Other apps/platforms - Use anywhere links are supported
What Happens When Someone Clicks the Link
When someone clicks your shared link, they'll be taken directly to that specific post within your app. The person clicking must have appropriate access permissions to view the content.
Access & Privacy
- Locked community channels: Links will still require the person to have access to that channel
- Public channels: Anyone with app access can view the linked post
- Private channels: Only members with channel access can view the content
- Your existing privacy settings remain unchanged
Common Use Cases
For Member Support
Instead of retyping answers to frequently asked questions, create a collection of links to your best explanations.
Example: "This comes up a lot! Here's my detailed breakdown: [link]"
For Marketing & Social Proof
Share member wins and transformations in your marketing materials.
Example: "Sarah's incredible 30-day transformation: [link to her community post]"
For Content Organization
Build a reference library of your most valuable posts for easy access.
Example: Keep links to your best tutorials, success stories, and detailed explanations
For Course Enhancement
Reference real community discussions as examples within your course content.
Example: "See how members are implementing this strategy: [multiple community post links]"
Tips for Success
- Save frequently used links in a document for quick access
- Use descriptive text when sharing links so people know what to expect
- Test links to make sure they work before sharing widely
- Organize by topic if you're building a reference library of posts
Troubleshooting
Someone says they can't access a link I shared
Check that they have access to that specific community channel. If it's a private or locked channel, they'll need the appropriate permissions.
Can I see who clicks on my shared links?
Currently, there's no tracking or analytics for link clicks. This feature focuses on easy sharing rather than detailed metrics.
Do these links work outside the app?
Yes! You can share these links anywhere: email, social media, text messages, other platforms. When clicked, they'll open your app and take the person to the specific post.
Can I edit or delete a link after sharing it?
The links point to the actual posts, so if you delete or edit the original post, the link will reflect those changes. You cannot edit the link itself - you'd need to copy a new one.
