How End Users Access

When someone joins your app, they go through a sign-up and verification process before they can access your content.

As of May 2026, email verification is required as a security measure to ensure your user base is made up of real people and to protect your content. New users must verify their email address before they can log in and access anything in your app.

The Sign-Up Flow 

Here's what a new user experiences when they sign up:

  1. Account creation: The user is added in Zapier, Admin, or creates their own account.
  2. Verification email sent: Immediately after sign-up, they receive an email from no-reply@passion.io with the subject "Welcome! Access Your Account" with your app's branding.
  3. Email verification: The user clicks the "Confirm my email" button in the email.
  4. Password setup: If added externally or through the admin panel, the user is prompted to set or confirm their password.
  5. Access granted: The user can now log in and access your content.

Proactive Solutions

  • Proactively notify new users: Add a note in any welcome communication you send to new subscribers, letting them know to expect a verification email from no-reply@passion.io and to check their spam folder if they don't see it.

  • Check unverified users: See which of your users have and haven't completed verification directly from your Users tab. Click the download icon to export a CSV and look for the "Verification Status" column. You can use this list to proactively follow up with users who are stuck.

  • Resend verification emails: If a user hasn't received their verification email, they can resend the verification email when prompted to verify their email.
