How do I copy and share links to my content and communities?

Want to share your courses and lessons in your community channels? Want to have a link to your own In-App Community and share it with your audience? Follow the below article to learn how

1. How do I copy the links to my courses, lessons, and sequences? 

  1. Locate the content you would like to share. 
  2. Click on the 3 dots or tap and hold the course/lesson/sequence. 
  3. From the pop-up menu, choose Copy link. 

Now you can go wherever you want to paste this copied link. 

  • Copy the link to a course:

  • Copy the link to a lesson or a sequence: 

If you are already inside a lesson or a sequence, you will find the Copy link Icon on the top left of your screen right under the back button.

2. How do I copy the links to my communities and community channels? 

  1. Locate the community or the channel you wish to share. 
  2. Tap and hold "Long press" the community or the channel.  
  3. From the pop-up menu, choose Copy link. 

If you are already inside a community channel, you will find the Copy link icon on the top right corner of your screen.

3. Using the copied links with the Lesson Button Widget: 

Combining this with our Content Front Editing features will give you the best results to connect all aspects of your app. Read more about Content Front Editing here

  1. Copy the link you would like to add to the button following any of the above methods. 
  2. Go to the lesson you would like to have the button on. 
  3. Edit the settings and add the copied link to the button URL. 
  4. Customize your button then click save. 

In that way, you can link lessons with communities, and link courses with other courses; the ideas are limitless!

4. What happens when my audience clicks on any of the links I share? 

The outcome after one of your clients clicks on the link you share with them will always depend on the below criteria: 

  • Do they have an account for your app? 
  • Are they logged in with their account or not? 
  • Do they have your Branded App "Apple/Google App" on their device or are they using your WebApp?
  • Do they have access to the content you are sharing with them "course/lesson/sequence/

Below is how the scenarios would go depending on the above criteria

Once a client dismisses the "no access banner" it will direct them to the Products/Learn page with the option to upgrade their plan.

In that way, it helps you up-sell pricing plans to your audience.

5. Frequently Asked Questions: 

 

  • Why can't I see these features on my phone? I am logged in with my admin email. 

If you are unable to use the features mentioned in this article then you probably need to submit your app to be updated, we're currently on the 3.10.X version release.

  • Can my users use the same functionalities as me from their app?

 Yes! Copying and pasting links from your app is for everyone and not just you as a creator. 

 

  • (Android Users) Every time I click on a link it takes me to the browser and Web App even though I am logged in inside the app. 

It is important for Android Users to give permission for the app to open supported links by default by following the below steps:

  1. From the Android device go to settings. 
  2. Go to Apps. 
  3. Find your App.
  4. Scroll to the Open by Default setting and click on it. 
  5. Make sure that the toggle for Open supported links is on. 
  6. Click on Add link and select the link that should automatically open the app by default.
