Set Up Zapier

Learn and set up your Zapier account by following the How to use Zapier with Passion.io article. The article contains information about Zapier, how to connect Passion.io, and helpful tips.

Zap Requirements

To receive tracking notifications with Passion.io, you will need:

  • A tracking goal in your Passion app — see “Keep Track of Client Progress with Goal Tracking.”
  • A communication platform that has a Zapier integration [Available Zapier Apps].

Set Up Zap

Trigger: New Tracking Check-In

Every client check-in fires this Zapier trigger (tracking_check_in_created) automatically — no Studio-side change needed.

  1. Visit Zapier.com and sign into your account.
  2. Hover over + Create in the left-side panel and click Zap.
  3. Choose Passion.io as the app.
  4. Set the trigger event to New Tracking Check-In.
  5. You can select all tracking goals or a specific one.
  6. Test the trigger to confirm it's capturing the check-in.

Action: Send Email, Notification, or SMS

  1. Click in the Action window, search for your communication app (e.g., Gmail, Whatsapp, SMS), then click it.
  2. Set the action event to Send Notification (the wording may vary depending on the platform).
  3. Sign into your connected account for the communication platform.
  4. Fill in the necessary details under the Configure tab.
  5. Test the action to confirm the notification is sent correctly.
