Key Features of the Default Access Plan (DAP)

“Default Access Plan” isn't a separate setting anymore in Passion Studio. Free/automatic access is just an offer priced Free. See “Create Pricing Plans” for how to set that up. The concepts below still apply to a Free-priced offer.

  • Automatically created: a Free-priced offer is not automatic anymore — you create it explicitly under Offers → Plans.
  • Visibility: clients can view the content you attach to this plan (like courses, communities, or tracking goals) without needing to sign up, and won't see it added to their accounts. This is a great way to tease your content and generate leads.
  • Sign-ups: clients are prompted to sign up if they try to:
    • Complete a lesson (they can continue, but progress won't be saved)
    • Save content to favorites
    • Download content

Set Up Free/Automatic Access

  1. Go to Offers → Plans and click + New offer.
  2. Set Price to Free.
  3. Under Grants access to, add the course(s), Community, or Tracking you want to include.
  4. Click Create offer.

If you do not wish to offer free/automatic access, simply don't create a Free-priced offer.

If you add content, Community, or Tracking goals to a Free-priced offer, this content becomes immediately visible to all clients in your app.

Difference Between a Free Offer and a Restricted-Visibility Offer

Free-priced, Public offer:

  • Visibility: the content you add to this offer is visible to everyone. All clients can see the courses, communities, and tracking goals without needing a special link.
  • Access: clients can view the content, but to interact with it (e.g., download, mark as favorite), they need to sign up.

Restricted-visibility offer (paid or free):

  • Visibility: hidden from general view. Clients need a specific link to access it — set Visibility to Restricted in the offer form.
  • Access: to provide access, you must share the link with clients.
  • Creation: you can create multiple restricted offers from Offers → Plans.
