Direct messaging allows you to send private messages to individual users across your app. ### What You Need to Know ### **1. One place for all your Direct Messages (DMs)** Instead of having separate DMs in each community, you'll have **just one chat with each user**. No community yet? You can automate Direct Messages and channel messages** To do this, you'll also need to use [Zapier](https://help.passion.io/hc/en-us/articles/4406890322321-how-to-use-zapier-with-passionio?hsLang=en). Your past conversations are safely stored in **Archived Messages**, so you can access them anytime. - Existing threads are read-only to keep their history, but you can **start new chats** and check old ones. -
